Diagnosis is done on the basis of symptoms but with no specific tests.The symptomatic history and detailed medical history is all that is important to diagnosis this. Follice Stimulating Hormone(FSH) can be used to check hormonal level.

There are certain treatments, which give some relief from this natural method of menopause like hormone therapy, meditation, exercises etc. Low doses of oestrogen is prescribed in hormone therapy where the hormone level of the patient is measured. Symptoms of anxiety and depression are the symptoms and are given with the antidepressants. To prevent fractures and making bones stronger, non-hormonal medicines are given.Weakening of pelvic muscles is lead by urinary incontinence which can be relaxed by exercise. Meditation, yoga and exerices like kegel are beneficial for women.
